Biography:
Marzia
received the high degree in Phamaceutical Chemistry
and Techonology,
Faculty of Pharmacy from University of Palermo (Palermo,
Italy) on 11th April 2008 (5-year course, 110/110 cum
laude), reporting about an experimental thesis on “New
Polymeric Micelles for Drugs Active Targeting to the
Central Nervous System” (Research Advisors: Prof.
Gaetano Giammona and Dr. Emanuela Fabiola Craparo).
Since 1st January 2009 she is Ph.D. student at the
Department of Agro-forest Engineering and Technologies
of University of Palermo with the tutorage of Prof.
Giuseppe Alonzo and the co-tutorage of Dr. Mario Pagliaro
(Nanostructured Materials Institute - National Research
Council - Section of Palermo).
She contributed to the organization of the international
meeting FIGIPAS 10th in Inorganic Chemistry, that took
place in Palermo (Italy) in July 1-4 2009. She is an
Organizing committee member of the Sun New Energy Conference
and Exhibition 2010, that will take place in Terrasini
(Palermo, Italy), since 29th September till 1st October
2010.
She joined SIUC as visiting scholar in September 2009
and is currently working on her research with Dr. Bakul
Dave.
During her free time she enjoys reading books, running
and watching movies.
